• Question: Could we ever survive on a planet like Mars?

      Anything is possible! Years ago I’m sure we didn’t think we would be able to fly across the world, but now we take that for granted. The main problems at the moment are the correct gases for us not being in the atmosphere, but earth wasn’t suitable for human life when it first began, so let’s wait and see!

      Space is a very harsh environment. If people like Major Tim Peake can survive for months in the space station, then it is theoretically possible to survive on other planets, and some scientists are working very hard to make it possible. It’s a very long way away and lack of gravity can have some strange effects on our physiology so I think this kind of travel is still a long way in the future!
