• Question: Has your investigation caused you any stress and released the hormone cortisol? did it have any effect on your body?

      100% yes. I have had times when experiments haven’t worked and I have lost interest. I found it very demoralising and hard. And I was unhappy and stressed. Once it worked though – I was back to myself again!
      I have also gone through periods of where I have had to do a lot of writing which I find hard. But that is getting easier with experience 🙂
      I have also has periods when I have had a lot to do, and had lots of pressure of me. I experienced burn out – where I was too stressed and no longer productive. So I told my boss, so they could remove some of the pressure. It was only then that I could start to feel normal again. But it did take some time. Shows that you have always got to be honest with your bosses – and not take on too much!
