There are lots of things that can help, but not everything works for everyone.
Focusing on breathing, meditation, mindfulness, physical activity like going for a walk, spending time doing something you really enjoy, listening to music – all of these can help some people. The important thing is to find something that works for you – and that’s an individual choice. Then keep practising!
This is a question that differs from one person to another. I find that for me dancing, doing yoga and going to Buddhism meditation helps me keep present in the moment. But for others it might be other types of sports, talking to people, sleeping, reading a book, there are several options you can choose from!
For me quite simply laugh. If someone makes me laugh, everything feels at least for that moment, better.
Long term… exercise (get the happy hormones going) and time-out.
