      The one that probably stand out was with Sir Ranulph Fiennes in Antarctica. I didn’t actually get to go but my equipment went to the pole with the team to investigate the effect of very long-term, cold exposure on finger blood flow – check out more here: http://www.thecoldestjourney.org/science/the-white-mars-project/

      My PhD work was looking at a hormone called renin.

      We were working with “new” drugs called ACE inhibitors – lots of people now take them to keep their blood pressure down.
