Sometimes we have to give presentations to large audiences when we have good results. I am a little shy, so this often makes me very stressed while I am preparing for it. I just have to remind myself that the audience are there because they are interested in what I have found, so that helps me to cope with the stress.

Probably the moment just before the analysis is complete when you have to cross all fingers and all toes and hope the analysis has worked because you can’t afford the money to run it again!

Having to always get grants and not having a permanent job (which is not my case any longer) but it was very stressful

Like Kristi, I think the most stressful thing is to give a presentation to other scientists.

Like Livia I find the fact that we are always trying to find money for our research challenging
